While his father kept a few beehives as a hobby, Gergely Molnár has already swapped mechanical engineering for beekeeping. His participation in fairs and beekeeping exhibitions has brought him nationwide recognition and a new nickname, as almost everyone now calls him “Mézes Gergő” (Honey Gergő). He lives with his family in Vizsoly, where everything revolves around honey. They have a honey museum, an apitherapy house, and a guesthouse.
They sell more than thirty different types of honey, both well-known and lesser-known varieties, as well as unique products like the “Barackálom” honey flavored with apricot brandy from Gönc. Gergő is a frequent participant in the events of the “Bee the Solution!” program, where he shares stories about bees and honey production with children.
