József Csorba is a second-generation beekeeper, and he’s already working alongside his son, who is expected to take over the family trade. József obtained his beekeeping certificate over forty years ago and also studied plant cultivation. They practice beekeeping in Szentkirály, near Kecskemét. From spring to autumn, they migrate with their more than two hundred beehives. In their packaging facility, they not only package their own honey but also honey from other apiaries.
He is also active in working for the Hungarian beekeeping community. He served as the county president of the beekeeping association for years and played an active role in developing a traceability system to make it easy for consumers to identify the origin of the honey in the jar.
